Léa Moisan-Perrier

Léa Moisan-Perrier, Artistic Director

Léa Moisan-Perrier, approaches choral music with sensitivity, rigour and authenticity. Léa is trained as a pianist, signer and choral director. She received a piano degree from the Montreal Music Conservatory and continued with a Masters in choral conducting from the Université de Sherbrooke à Longueuil. She is currently pursuing a degree in classical singing at the University of Montreal. Léa is also the Artistic Director and founder of Les voix parallèles de l’école Vincent d’Indy.

This promising young artist has received the Moulin Seigneurial scholarship for 2016 as well as the 2017 Iwan Edwards Award offered by the Montreal Choral Institute in collaboration with St. Lawrence Choir.

In 2016, she developed her orchestral conducting skills at the Medomak Conductor`s Retreat in the United States, under the direction of Kenneth Keisler.  She has also attended several masters` classes, most notably with Andrew Megill, Gilles Auger, Jean-Sébastien Vallée and Catherine Simonpietri.



The Iwan Edwards Award is offered each year during the Montreal Choral Institute's Choral Conducting Masterclass, with the support of St.Lawrence Choir. We are pleased to announce that the 2017 winner is Léa Moisan-Perrier. Congratulations, Léa!
