Léa Moisan-Perrier

Léa Moisan-Perrier, Artistic Director

Léa Moisan-Perrier has trained as a pianist, singer and choral directorA graduate of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in piano, she has completed a master’s of choral conducting at the Longueil campus of the Université de Sherbrooke. As a soloist, she has performed with the baroque ensemble of the Université de Montréalas well as in England with the Yorkshire Opera WorkshopLéa is currently preparing a bachelor’s degree in classical singing at the Université de Montréal. 

As well as her work with Chœur des enfants de Montréal, she is founder and Artistic Director of Les voix parallèles de l'École de musique Vincent-d’Indy. Since 2014, she has also been assistant conductor of Chœur de la Montagne, a symphonic choir directed by Julien Proulx.

In 2016, Léa participated in a clinic in choral direction at the Medomak Conductor’s Retreat in the USAunder the direction of Kenneth Keisler. She has also participated in several master classes, notably with Jean-Sébastien Vallée, Catherine Simonpietri and Alain Cazes.



The Iwan Edwards Award is offered each year during the Montreal Choral Institute's Choral Conducting Masterclass, with the support of St.Lawrence Choir. We are pleased to announce that the 2017 winner is Léa Moisan-Perrier. Congratulations, Léa!
